Erin is currently a masters student at Newcastle University. Prior to this Erin achieved a First Class Honours Degree from Durham University in Sport, Exercise and Physical Activity. Further to this Erin gained a prestigious ‘Innovation in Research’ Award from Durham and quickly realised her love of academia. Throughout her time at university, Erin worked with Martin and assisted in coaching his athletes applying her academic knowledge. Despite her love of sport, Erin also enjoys reading medicinal exercise, particularly around the role of inflammation and exercise as an anti-inflammatory pathway.
In her spare time she likes to cycle, knit and volunteer at a local animal rescue. Erin has also been studying Italian for 2 years and receives private tuition once a week and aims to become fluent.
